Antonelli Ezio studied at the University of Bologna and started working as a graphic designer and illustrator. In the eighties he started working for the Compagnia Drammatico Vegetale as a set designer and author of various productions and courses (Alice attraverso lo specchio, La Stanza dei colori, Wunderkammer,…)

He also worked as a set or costume designer for various opera, music, ballet productions at different theatres such as Fondazione Arena di Verona (Placido Domingo Gala); Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (La Pietra di Diaspro), the Teatro alla Scala (Il furioso nell’isola di San Domingo),…
